Calle Sant Pere is a car-free zone

The city of Benidorm made Calle San Pedro a car-free street, at least temporarily, but perhaps for a longer period.  As a result, there should be more space for pedestrians who can more easily maintain a social distance in these COVID-19 virus days. For the bars and restaurants, there will also be the possibility to expand their terraces to create a safer distance between tables, pedestrians, and cyclists.

Calle Sant Pere is located alongside the Poniente beach promenade. The first part of the coastal road will become car-free. Work is completed in June 2020. Furthermore, more works will be carried out on the sewer system and the drainage system to solve the existing problems during heavy rain.
