Get around Benidorm with your bike

The city of Benidorm has often called itself Bike-friendly and the city's aim to be a big cycling city has always been there.  By the end of 2021, Benidorm will have nearly 135 kilometers of cycle paths, which will make Benidorm after Valencia the city with the most kilometers of cycle paths in the entire autonomous region.

Currently, Benidorm has 91.1 kilometers of cycle paths, cycle/walking paths, and pedestrian areas where cycling is allowed. Initially, the municipal plan "Plan Ciclista" was calculated to have at least 111.6 kilometers of cycle paths by the end of 2021, but the municipality has now expanded that to 134.7 kilometers.

The vast majority of the cycle paths in Benidorm are the so-called "Ciclo-Calles" or the normal roads with a shared cycle path, especially in the Centro, la Cala, and Rincon de Loix. At the moment, many places are still working on bicycle paths, such as in the streets of Gerona, Derramador, Filipinas, and Esperanto.

The growth of bicycle paths is significant and in recent years the number of kilometers has almost tripled from 35.8 kilometers in 2015 to 91.1 kilometers in 2020.
