Plans for Benidorm's long-awaited first major shopping center have finally been unveiled. The project, undertaken by Unibail-Rodamco, will boast an impressive 58,000 square meters of retail space. If you have ever visited La Cala beach in Finestrat near Benidorm you will have seen that there is a huge building still in scaffolding just in front of the beach. The city of Benidorm has developed a new project called 'Green Benidorm 2024-2026' or Verde Benidorm for the sustainable development of the coastal town. The project aims to raise 7.5 million euros through “Planes de Sostenibilidad Turística 2023”. This amount would cover 100% of the funding for the 16 actions, which are grouped into four categories, Green and Sustainable Transition, Energy Efficiency, Digital Transition, and Competitiveness. The Planta 20 rooftop bar is located on the twentieth floor of Hotel Madeira Centro. This hotel is centrally located between the so-called English Quarter and the Old Town on the Plaza Triangular. You can visit the bar freely and you don't have to be a hotel guest. To reach the bar you walk past the reception to the lifts.
